The BLUE PLANET ACADEMY is a small Charity that enlightens, engages, enables, educates and gives real scuba diving experiences.

 

The Blue Planet Academy has a mission - To engage, to inform, to educate tomorrow's leaders and decision makers through schools and universities.

We believe that through engaging, creating a pathway of scuba diving education, we will develop decision makers of the future, to be in tune with our environment. We are mere custodians of the planet earth. If we do not engage, if we do not see for ourselves and have that experience, we will not care. We only tend to care about what we have personally experienced.

Our planet is under siege particularly the oceans and ecosystems. So why should we care?

 

Did you know the two thirds of the earth is covered by water. The oceans are taken for granted but did you also know: 50 percent of the earths oxygen is produced by sea plants like Posidonia. The oceans provide us with food, jobs, life, entertainment, sport and medicines. Some of the oceans bounty are ingredients in medicines fighting cancer, arthritis, Alzheimers and heart disease.

 

The Blue Planet Academy is a Schools, Colleges, Universities and Corporate Business specialist. We believe in educating tomorrows leaders and future decision makers. Being a diver, you see the destruction first hand, as they say, seeing is believing. Inclusive and not exclusive, we promote diversity.

Scuba expeditions teach people to scuba dive (PADI, SSI or BSAC Certifications), enabling them to see first hand the current destruction invoked by modern living, especially plastics, mass fishing, chemicals and global warming. This journey gives student divers life long skills, fosters confidence, teaches responsibility, risk management, encourages team work, engages those who are not sport minded and develops the future conservationists of our planet. It is also fun and therefore provides more engagement of young people. We have one world and its in our care. Having experienced the underwater realm, you will care too.
